Maryland Community Church

Any successful church project is dependent on a collaborative relationship with the congregation’s Building Committee. On this project, months of pre-construction engagement between the Building Committee, Garmong, and Hannum, Wagle & Cline Engineering resulted in minimal change orders, on-track scheduling, and an accurate cost. Members of Maryland Church anticipated early on the actual cost of the project as offered by Garmong as a validated guaranteed maximum price.

This 75,000 square foot, design-build project involved more than three years of programming and design and nearly two full years of construction. Project highlights include a 1,400 seat sanctuary, atrium seating for 400+, a café and library, an industrial kitchen, a gymnasium and numerous classrooms.

Northside Community United Methodist Church
Terre Haute, Indiana

Phase I of the church was completed in December 1999. Value and the length of a dollar were critical to project success. The church is home to an efficient, yet practical sanctuary, gymnasium, classrooms, offices, kitchen and many other amenities.

Phase II was added in 2002, and included a central gathering area, administrative wing, chapel, multi-purpose room, and educational wing.

Memorial United Methodist Church
Terre Haute, Indiana

Originally designed by Garmong’s past president K. Richard Garmong, in 1967, Garmong is currently serving as design-builder for a 2,000 square foot addition and remodel that will include an administrative area with its own entrance, classrooms, and new curb and sidewalk areas.
