Garmong recently joined Union Hospital, AP&S Clinic, Hope Center, Terre Haute Medical Lab and Clara Fairbanks Center for Women officials to celebrate the grand opening of Hux Cancer Center. The 88,000 square foot, three-story comprehensive cancer treatment facility--the only comprehensive cancer treatment center in the Wabash Valley--is located at the northwest corner of Beech and Seventh streets on the Union Hospital campus. A groundbreaking occurred in May 2006, and a grand opening celebration was held in February 2008.

This unique facility houses the related oncology services of Union Hospital, AP&S Clinic, Clara Fairbanks Center for Women, and Hope Center, and includes radiation therapy, medical oncology, clinical trials, mammography, boutique services, support services, nutritional services, a resource center, a tranquility room, an appearance room and spiritual support.
