Central Indiana Power Headquarter Renovation
Greenfield, Indiana

Garmong and its design firm Hannum, Wagle & Cline Engineering collaborated on a design-build basis for an expansive renovation of Central Indiana Power’s headquarters in Greenfield, Indiana. Both companies worked concurrently throughout this project with a Building Committee consisting of seven members from CIP. Garmong assisted the Building Committee throughout all phases of design, construction, annexation, and various other decisions.

Construction was completed in the fall of 2007 and involved the total adaptive reuse of the existing facility and grounds. The project included the renovation of approximately 32,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, the demolition of their existing service bay, construction of a nearly 10,000 square foot new service bay, and construction of a new entry feature. All of the construction was completed while CIP occupied the building. Design of the facility included a new geothermal system, an approximate 3,000 square foot storm shelter within the building, new community room and plaza, and an architecturally attractive entry feature.
